Description
The 1460 is the original Dr. Martens boot. The boot’s recognizable DNA looks like this: 8 eyes, grooved sides, a heel-loop, yellow stitching, and a comfortable, air-cushioned sole. Built to last, this unisex boot is made using one of the finest methods of construction: the Goodyear Welt — which means the upper and sole are sewn together in our heat-sealed z-welt stitch. The boot sits on our iconic AirWair™ sole, which is oil and fat resistant with good abrasion and slip resistance, and is made with the soft, supple Nappa leather.

MATERIAL
A lightweight, milled leather, which gives a soft, luxurious handle and appearance.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
[Nappa] = Clean Away dirt using a damp cloth, allow to dry apply a clear wax based shoe polish to restore shine as desired. In the event of heavy scuffing or loss of colour then clean as before but add a matching coloured wax based shoe polish and buff up the leather with brush and cloth as required.
CONSTRUCTION
This is a Goodyear-welted product. The upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, not merely glued like many footwear constructions.
